Sweepstakes Rules

The official rules that apply to every Boreal Spins giveaway.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

No purchase is required to enter or win any Boreal Spins sweepstakes promotion. A purchase will not improve your chance of winning. Void where prohibited by law.

1. Sponsor

Boreal Spins Studios Inc., 120 Adelaide St W, Suite 1500, Toronto, Ontario M5H 1T1 (the "Sponsor"). The Sponsor is solely responsible for the conduct of each promotion, the selection of winners, and the delivery of prizes.

2. Eligibility

Each Boreal Spins promotion is open to legal residents of Canada (excluding the province of Quebec) who are at least 21 years of age at the time of entry. Employees, contractors, officers, and directors of the Sponsor and their immediate family members (parent, spouse, sibling, child) and any person living in the same household are not eligible.

Entrants must hold a Boreal Spins account in good standing. Multi-accounting, use of automated entry tools, and use of false or stolen identity information will void all entries from the implicated parties.

3. Promotion period

Each promotion runs for a defined period that is announced on the in-app promotions page and on the Boreal Spins news page before the promotion opens. The promotion period for each promotion will be set out in its specific addendum to these Rules.

4. How to enter

Method A — In-game entry. During an active promotion period, you may earn entries through ordinary free coin play. The specific gameplay action that earns an entry, and the maximum number of in-game entries per account per day, will be set out in the promotion's addendum. In-game entries are earned through free coin play only and do not constitute a purchase.

Method B — Free mail-in entry. To enter by mail, hand-print your full legal name, complete mailing address, date of birth, daytime telephone number, and email address on a 3"×5" plain index card. Place the card in a #10 envelope with first-class postage prepaid and mail it to: BOREAL SPINS SWEEPSTAKES, PO Box 4070, Toronto, ON M5W 0E9. Limit one entry per outer envelope. Mechanically reproduced entries, photocopies, and envelopes containing more than one card are void. Mail-in entries must be received before the close of the relevant promotion period to be eligible.

Both methods grant the same odds of winning for each entry received.

5. Prize draws

Winners are selected at random by a verifiable randomization process from all eligible entries received during the promotion period. The number of winners and the prize for each winner will be set out in the promotion's addendum.

Prizes are non-cash items (branded merchandise, gift cards to Canadian retailers, ticket bundles to Canadian-promoted events). No single prize will exceed CAD $500 in approximate retail value. Prizes are not transferable and have no cash equivalent. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.

6. Skill-testing question

Before any prize is awarded, each selected winner must correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question, as required by Canadian contest law. The question will be administered by the Sponsor via email and must be answered within seventy-two hours of receipt. Failure to correctly answer the question or to respond within the deadline disqualifies the selected winner, and an alternate winner will be drawn.

7. Winner notification and verification

Selected winners will be notified by email at the address on file with their Boreal Spins account, or, for mail-in entrants, at the email address printed on the entry card. Winners may be required to sign a Declaration and Release confirming compliance with these Rules, eligibility, acceptance of the prize, and consent to the use of name and city of residence for promotional purposes without further compensation.

If a selected winner cannot be reached, declines the prize, fails the skill-testing question, fails to return required documentation within the stated deadline, or is otherwise determined to be ineligible, an alternate winner will be selected.

8. Odds

The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the relevant promotion period. The Sponsor will publish the approximate odds in the addendum for any promotion in which the number of expected entries is reasonably estimable.

9. General conditions

By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the promotion. The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify a promotion at any time if the integrity of the promotion is compromised by fraud, technical failure, force majeure, or any other cause beyond its reasonable control.

These Rules are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ontario.

10. Privacy

Personal information collected for the administration of a promotion is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and is used solely for purposes of running the promotion, contacting winners, fulfilling prizes, and meeting any tax-reporting obligations. Personal information collected through promotions is not used for marketing without separate opt-in consent.
